Looking for a little feed back now that we have a ton of short shows under our belt, plus 6 of the weekly episodes. What are your thoughts? Still enjoy the short form versions of the show? Prefer the long weekly show? Happy to have both?

This Friday night, at 8pm central time, Tom and Scott will debut their new hour-long show on the TWiT network: Current Geek Weekly! The show will be broadcast live, with video, right here! Bookmark it and keep your eyes peeled! More details to come regarding getting the episodes later via iTunes and other methods.

What can you expect? Current Geek Weekly gives us a chance to expand on topic we might have just touched on for Current Geek, plus topics never covered on Current Geek before. Top that off with frequent guests and you’ve got the perfect weekly partner cast for our regular Current Geek show, which will still air mornings every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday…just like always.

Scott and Tom are pretty excited to announce that they will be hosting a regular Friday evening show on the TWiT Network each and every week, starting in March! Read more after the jump!

Think of this new hour-long effort as “Current Geek: Long Edition” in a way. A chance to talk about more topics, host some guests, and geek out a little more. Current Geek will continue as it is…this is all in addition to that, plus we’ll broadcasting live over the TWiT network, in addition to regular podcast publishing.

We want to ask for YOUR help in naming this new show! We just know the best ideas will come from listeners. The only names we are trying to avoid are ones with “This week in…” in front of it.

So, what are your thoughts? No other rules…just good names we can choose from. Let it rip!

Hey all! Presenting the latest collaboration between FrogPants Studios and SuBBrilliant Media, “The Current Geek Podcast”, with Scott Johnson and Tom Merritt.

What can you expect? A brand new 5 to 10 minute show every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, where we pull our favorite geeky story of the day and slap it around for a bit before we convey your geekiest stories from your emails. See this page for more info about Scott and Tom.

Our first episode will drop on Monday, November 23rd, 2009. (Next week!) The feed is already up on iTunes to subscribe to. We’ll of course post the MP3′s and show notes with each and every episode. Follow us on Twitter for updates, and more!
