I finished listening, and I really like the show! I'm going to add it to my regular subscriptions, next to all my TWiT feeds :)

But I still would like to see a separate feed for the weekly show. My commute is 2 hours a day, so I don't like 5-10 minute shows :/

Okay, just a note, re. the Eagles in LOTR. Between Frodo arriving at Rivendell, and the battle at Minas Tirith, Sauron had the Nazgul flying around, as well as a careful watch over Mordor. The Eagles couldn't have flown in. Right?

Since Tom can't remember the digits of Pi, I think he should check out the geeky app NumMemorize in the iTunes store.

Oh, blasphemy! Alpha Centauri was THE best turn-based game every released on the PC. Terraforming, customizable units, the planet as an NPC, the future tech trees, sea colonization -- all of it was amazing. It's in my top 5 games of all time.

Hey guys..loved the tangent you took today on philosophy and the issue of lying cause I've struggled with an issue that I would like your opinion on since your so smart! :)

STORY: My 8yo son LOVES chicken so much so I've warned him about growing feathers. Anyway, At a recent potluck, I told him that the bowl of meat in front of us for tacos was chicken even though I thought it was pork. As it turns out it WAS chicken. QUESTION: So what I said was FACTUALLY true. However, I intended to deceive. Did I lie? What is a lie? Is a lie merely the telling of something that is factually untrue or does it require deceptive intent?

I contend that lying involves deception and that I lied(bad dad!).

So if you buy that contention...is the opposite also true? If I say something WITHOUT the intent to deceive but it is factually untrue..did I lie? How many people say something they truly believe but what they say is factually untrue.

Oh...and I lied about you guys being so smart...OR... did I (said in the best Tom Merritt voice possible)? OK OK you are...
