Greatness. I love the current geek dailies, but I allways miss the indepth things.

Question: Is the intro done by the same guy who did the ExtraLifeRadio intro ? Sounds pretty familiar in terms of style.

Oh and a suggestion for a guest: Obsidian. You owe him (Or us actually), considering that ELR ended, and now there is no way we can hear the sultry sound of Obsidians voice (Unless he puts up a Audiorant, which he hasn’t done in months).
Invite him for a Fourcast Podcast and a Filmsack as well.
This is obviously directed to Scott, not Tom.

  2. ObiWanKnouski says:

Hour long show too much for my ADD-ish brain. I usually listen to Current Geek on my drive to work, and fortunately I don’t have an hour commute. Bring back the 3x week short audio podcasts.

  3. Scott says:

DoggySpew: Same guy did the music, Rob Goobers. The guy is amazing.

  4. russ says:

ObiWan: From what I understand the short versions will still be made, this is just a special hour-long version for Fridays.

Great show, Tom & Scott! I had a blast watching it live.

  5. ObiWanKnouski says:

Yes, I’m a little slow on the uptake. The short shows are still being made. Yes! And I did like the longer Current Geek Weekly show as well, don’t get me wrong. It was well done. Didn’t get it live, though. Listened to audio through iTunes. Will the longer show be available in video format on iTunes? I didn’t see it there.

Please have Obsidian on as a guest.

Also I would like to here Mark Kinney of “All Games Considered” and Mur Lafferty of “You Should be Writing”. Both are experts in their fields. I would also love to hear Mur on TWIT but that another post.

I’m a newbie to the show and I’m geeking out already! I’ll see if I can catch your daily show as well. One suggestion for a story is the new short by Spike Jonze called I’m Here. Did you guys get a chance to watch it and what are your thoughts? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you check it out at http://imheremovie.com or if you can’t stand “waiting in line” to watch it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TQuzRCbpsY

  9. Jeff says:

Hey guys..loved the tangent you took today on philosophy and the issue of lying cause I’ve struggled with an issue that I would like your opinion on since your so smart! :)

STORY: My 8yo son LOVES chicken so much so I’ve warned him about growing feathers. Anyway, At a recent potluck, I told him that the bowl of meat in front of us for tacos was chicken even though I thought it was pork. As it turns out it WAS chicken. QUESTION: So what I said was FACTUALLY true. However, I intended to deceive. Did I lie? What is a lie? Is a lie merely the telling of something that is factually untrue or does it require deceptive intent?

I contend that lying involves deception and that I lied(bad dad!).

So if you buy that contention…is the opposite also true? If I say something WITHOUT the intent to deceive but it is factually untrue..did I lie? How many people say something they truly believe but what they say is factually untrue.

Oh…and I lied about you guys being so smart…OR… did I (said in the best Tom Merritt voice possible)? OK OK you are…

  10. Max says:

Can you guys make an RSS feed for just the weekly show?

  11. Thoren says:

Oh, blasphemy! Alpha Centauri was THE best turn-based game every released on the PC. Terraforming, customizable units, the planet as an NPC, the future tech trees, sea colonization — all of it was amazing. It’s in my top 5 games of all time.

  12. Brian says:

Since Tom can’t remember the digits of Pi, I think he should check out the geeky app NumMemorize in the iTunes store.

  13. Steve says:

Okay, just a note, re. the Eagles in LOTR. Between Frodo arriving at Rivendell, and the battle at Minas Tirith, Sauron had the Nazgul flying around, as well as a careful watch over Mordor. The Eagles couldn’t have flown in. Right?

  14. chad386 says:

Get it on the zune podcast feed, por favor.

  15. chad386 says:

    sorry, I found it. 8)

  16. Max says:

I finished listening, and I really like the show! I’m going to add it to my regular subscriptions, next to all my TWiT feeds :)

But I still would like to see a separate feed for the weekly show. My commute is 2 hours a day, so I don’t like 5-10 minute shows :/

  17. soniablue says:

I second ObiWanKnouski…will the video ever be available after the fact? Or is it just going to be live?

    Love it all.

  18. Charles says:

If you like how movies should have ended you should check out angryalien productions 30-Second Bunnies Theatre Library. Funny stuff. Love the show guys, great stuff. Hellageeky!
